Messing about on the canal
Updated: Aug 10, 2019
On Wednesday 17th July we went on a boat trip from Gayton Wharf to Bugbrook with Crusader Community Boating. It was lovely weather and everyone enjoyed the journey and pub lunch before making our way back again. On the canal we saw a variety of wildlife. A heron, moorhen, mallards with their chicks, damsel flies (one which landed on the boat) and swifts skimming the water after insects.
Photos of us on the boat have been posted on this site.
We would like to thank Hunters Coaches for taking us safely there and back again and all the Community Boating volunteers who made the trip really enjoyable.
having some me time, chilling out and relaxing.
